The multi-level marketing industry has seen incredible exposure and popularity on the net for a long time, and there’s no let-up in sight. When you join an MLM company, you’re basically marketing their products as an affiliate. Every time you sell something you earn a commission. Part of the marketing plan is to recruit other affiliates to join your team, or downline as it’s called.
You’ll also earn commissions from sales made from your team members, or downline members. Additionally, if extra downline members, that your recruit brings in, makes a sale, then you’ll get a smaller part of that, too. The basic idea is to recruit enough team members so that you do not have to do any work yourself. We’ll share some great suggestions to help you with your own multi-level marketing business.
First thing to always do: With every lead you get always follow-up after first contact. If someone says “I need time to think” give them time to think. A good rule to follow is to contact them after several days. Many sales are made because there was a follow-up process in place and it was used. These same approaches are oftern used by people seeking MLM Success
Ok – you should show your downline what needs to be done, but do not do it for them. We all have to stand on our own, so that includes your downline, too. They won’t be able to survive and profit if you fail to do this. But if you lead and show them by your own actions, then they’ll be more inclined to do as you do. Otherwise you aren’t actually a multi level marketer, you are a basic affiliate marketer in MLM clothing. It is what every good boss does.
You should know that rejection is part of this game, and you’ll get it from buyers and recruit prospects. Some people have difficulty with rejection, and that’s normal, so maybe this business is not your best choice.
Just be open and honest about things with the people you introduce to your business. Always avoid making hyped up comments about what can be earned. Let them know very simply and clearly that they have to put the work in if they ever hope to get anywhere. Telling people they can earn unrealistic amounts only sets them up for failure because they will be too easily frustrated and discouraged. If the attrition rate is high, you’ll be constantly recruiting and doing nothing else. That’s why at least in this business, honesty is the best policy. And your downline will appreciate you even more.
Multi-level marketing is not the most precise form of business. There are, however, techniques and strategies that you can employ to increase your odds of MLM success. If there’s a secret it is to work hard, learn, work your MLM system, and never say never. It’s just simple, hard work equals lack of failure. So… no more waiting, ok? Get cracking on it!
